„Performance for the artist“ is the title of the novel, and also the website name.
And this is not an ordinary website.
It has no menu bar, and every page is different. It even has some hidden pages for which you will not find the link anywhere on the website, nor you will find it on the search results. And you will be able to access the page only if you receive a link. Like this one.
The whole topic of the book is about the artist and his performances. He is a painter, but he paints such vivid pictures, that in his exhibitions people are getting lost in space and time, gazing at a picture, and remembering some long-forgotten personal memories from their own childhood.
As the visitors are getting lost in space in time in his exhibitions, the website also is a performance itself. As painting and writing are arts, the website itself follows the pattern set in the novel and on exhibitions, overriding the difference between fiction and reality, between the virtual and real world.
Also, almost the entire text on this website are quotes and parts from the novel, mostly words of the main character so the website is also a sort of virtualization of the main character, and communicating with him and his performances with the website.
